Waterproofing

        Mapelastic
Mapelastic
Two-component flexible cement mortar for waterproofing and waterproof bondings of swimming-pools and balconies.
Applications:Waterproof coatings for balconies, terraces, bathrooms, etc. prior to laying directly applied ceramic floors onto surfaces that are clean and damp but not containing free water. Apply at least two coats in a thin and uniform thickness (max 2 mm per coat), inserting into the first coat a light Fiberglass mesh Mapei, onto surfaces that are clean and damp but not containing free water.
Coverage:1.7 kg/m2 per mm of thickness
Packing:32 kg kits (Part A 24 kg + Part B 8 kg).

        Mapegum WP
Mapegum WP
Liquid elastic membrane for interior only waterproofing. Mapegum WP is used for waterproofing walls and floors of bathrooms and shower recesses, kitchens and work surfaces, before installing ceramic tile or natural stone.
Applications:Mapegum WP is a grey-coloured single component paste with a synthetic resin base in a water dispersion, totally solvent free, with a thixotropic viscosity that allows easy application on horizontal, inclined and vertical surfaces. After the rapid evaporation of the water it forms a non-sticky elastic sheath, with excellent resistance to water, tenacity suitable for light traffic, that provides a highly adhesive surface for adhesives used for ceramic tile, marble and natural stone. Mapegum WP can be applied by trowel, roller, brush or spray (if necessary dilute with a maximum of 5% water) on substrates that are solid, clean, dry, free from oils, grease, old paint or other substances that may interfere with bonding. Mapegum WP must be applied evenly in thin layers (about 1 mm maximum per coat). Wait for the first coat to dry before applying successive crossing coats (from about 1-2 hours depending on the environmental conditions).
Coverage:1.5 kg/m2 per mm of thickness.
Packing:25, 10 and 5 kg buckets.

        Mapegum EPX E EPX-T
Mapegum EPX E EPX-T
Two-component liquid epoxy resin membrane for deformable chemical-resistant waterproofing prior to installing ceramic tile.
Applications:Acid-resistant waterproofing of floors prior to installing ceramic tile in factories, industrial kitchens, slaughterhouses, etc. to protect the substrate from chemical aggression by preventing chemical compounds from seeping into the soil below. For walls, use Mapegum EPX-T. Mapegum EPX and Mapegum EPX-T should be applied in two coats with a brush, roller or trowel in a total thickness of not let than 1 mm. To install tiles over Mapegum EPX and Mapegum EPX-T, use Kerapoxy, or sand the second coat while still fresh and use Granirapid or Adesilex P4
Coverage:1.6 kg/m2 per mm of thickness
Packing:Mapegum EPX: 10 kg kit (7.5+2.5). Mapegum EPX-T: 10 kg kit (7.5+2.5).
